Billy Bordy Signs on with Ozone Race Team

I am very stoked to announce the official news that Billy Bordy, a professional Downhill Snowboarder turned Snowkiter has signed on with Ozone Kites.  Billy has been a strong asset to Utah Kiteboarding, embracing the role of lead Instructor over the last seasons, and proving his integral role in growing Kite Sports in Utah.  During that time his 20 years of snowboarding experience have helped to instigate and improve designs with Twisted Kiteboards, becoming a plank owner behind the mindset of the ‘Velocity’, a board which has gained a solid reputation as an all mountain Kite Snowboard.

Billy stands out beyond labels, mixing the lines between Wake Style Snowkiting, Backcountry Freeriding and Balls Out Gliding maneuvers that we thought only Chasta was up for.  Amongst other titles, Billy has raced hard against an international crowd, taking 1st place in the Men’s Winduro at last seasons US OPEN Snowkite Masters. 

If you ride in Utah or at any major Snowkite Event, you’re sure to cross paths with Billy, you’ll recognize him by his smile any time of year, and his one piece orange suit in the winter.  What you will notice most is his humble attitude and his willingness to share his knowledge with anyone, he is one of the most approachable guys in the Kiteboarding world.
